Apple's iPod nano 5th Generation is just as much video camera as it is personal music library, FM radio, and fitness coach! The nano lets you record up to 8 hours of Internet ready 640 x 480 VGA video. It also gives you the option to choose from 15 different special effects to make every video truly unique. Once you've captured the moment share it with everyone through email, YouTube, MobileMe, Facebook or other social networking sites.
The 5th generation has a few design changes as well, including an expanded 2.2 inch LCD screen and a polished anodized aluminum finish. And, when it comes to storage the 5G can hold up to 2,000 songs or up to 7,000 photos. The nano still rocks the Genius Playlist feature, and now Genius Mixes as well. When synced with iTunes the player can create up to 12 different mixes based on your music.
When you feel like taking a break from your music, the nano has a built-in FM tuner. Apple went a step beyond radio by also giving the tuner iTunes tagging and Live Pause. In addition, the VoiceOver feature tells you the title and artist of the songs you're listening to. You can also use Voice Memo to save notes to self or any other audio you want to record.
To help you reach your fitness goals, the nano now has a built-in pedometer for counting your steps. And, when paired with the Nike + iPod Sport Kit (available separately) you can use the nano to keep track of your runs or gym workouts too.

Video camera and voice recorder
The nano comes with a built-in camera that lets you shoot movies on the go. And it has 15 real-time special effects, such as sepia, X ray effects, and split-screen mirror, so you can modify your video on the fly. An embedded microphone captures the audio, and you can also use it record voice memos, or even classroom lectures.
FM radio the Apple way
The iPod nano displays a virtual tuner so you can easily find your favorite FM stations. And it shows artist and song names if your station sends RDS metadata. If you need to take a break, Live Pause caches up to 15 minutes of a broadcast so you can catch up when you're done. And if your station supports iTunes tagging, you're in luck. Just press a button when you hear a song you like, and the next time you sync your player it will show up in an iTunes list, ready for purchase.
Motion sensor adds fun
A built-in accelerometer lets you rotate the nano from vertical to horizontal while playing music to activate Cover Flow — Apple's intuitive album-browsing interface. And to shake up your playlist, literally just shake the nano to trigger random shuffle play.
Genius makes mixes for you
Found a song that really gets you moving? Select "Genius," and your iPod nano will automatically create a playlist of other songs in your library that'll keep the groove going. You can either keep the playlist, or refresh to try another mix of tunes.
Fitness functions
The iPod nano includes a built-in pedometer so you can monitor your daily walking. And it also supports Nike + iPod, so you can see the details of your workouts when you use compatible Nike+ shoes and sensor kits. Keep track of time, distance, pace, and calories burned when you're running or jogging.
