The Brother's MFC-7420 5-in-1 Monochrome Laser Multi-Function Center is a fax, printer, scanner, copier, and PC-fax all in one lightweight machine with a small footprint. As a fax machine, the MFC-7420 features a 6 second per page transmission, 14.4K bps high speed modem, 500-page fax memory, 208 station Auto Dialing, 64 shade Gray Scale for photo transmission, Caller ID, FAX/TEL Switch, QuickScan, and distinctine ring detection.As a printer, the MFC-7420 gives you true 2400x600 dpi laser output with 20-page per minute printing. It has 16MB of memory, and prints up to legal size and transparencies. It works with Windows and Mac OS. The copy functions of the device include sorting, and copy enlargement and reduction. The scanning function is is capable of 600x2400 optical and 9600 interpolated dpi scanning into your PC. It includes ScanSoft PaperPort for document management software, Omnipage OCR software, and Presto! PageManager for Mac.As a PC FAX the machine will send and receive faxes directly from your Windows based PC application, dial and broadcast using the phonebook function or view faxes on your PC before printing to eliminate junk faxes.
