The multiple-format DVDR135 DVD recorder from Samsung allows you to record and play high quality digital video on DVD-R and DVD-RW discs and to playback CD, CD-R/RW discs and MP3/JPEG files. You can record up to 8 hours on 4.7 GB DVD-R/RW discs. Listen to your favorite CDs or MP3 music on CD-R/RW discs and view JPEG images, also on CD-R/RW discs. Select from among five recording speeds that vary in recording quality and length. EP mode gives you the most recording time. LP and SP provide less time but higher quality, while XP has the highest recording quality. By choosing FR (Flexible Recording) mode, you get the best picture quality possible for the recording time and remaining space on the disc when recording by setting the timer. Progressive scanning produces high quality, flicker-free video; and a 10-bit/54 MHz digital-to-analog converter and 2D Y/C Separating Circuitry provides the highest video playback and recording quality.

One Touch Recording Gets You Going Fast

Samsung DVD recorders feature One Touch Recording that makes recording easier than ever. With just one press of a button, the DVDR135 automatically searches the available space on the disc and starts recording the selected program. Press the REC button once to record up to 30 minutes. Each time you press the REC button, another 30 minutes is added to the recording time, up to a maximum of 240 minutes depending on the recording mode. Once One Touch Recording is completed, simply press the PLAY button to watch the program you just recorded. It's just as easy to copy video from your digital camcorder by using the DV input jack (IEEE 1394-4 pin). Pop in a recordable disc, select the recording mode, select DV input, start camcorder playback, and press REC on the DVDR135's remote control to start recording. Up to 99 titles can be recorded onto one disc. You can't change the recording mode or input source while recording and recording will stop if there's no free space left on the disc. Recording will also stop if a copy-protected image is selected.
